During January and February, delivery volume of GAC Honda and Dongfeng Honda reached 203,239 units, rising 3.9% on an annual basis. Among them, GAC Honda's delivery volume grew by 4.1% year on year to 113,095 units. Dongfeng Honda saw YoY delivery volume growth of 3.6% to 90,144 units.
GAC Honda produces 13 models totally. However, only three models saw YoY delivery volume growth in February, namely the Honda Accord, Crider and Avancier. Strikingly, the delivery volume of the Honda Avancier reached 5,163 units, soaring 67.7% year on year. In terms of Acura, the luxury brand under GAC Honda, it suffered more than 50% delivery drop to 410 units, compared with 800 units in February, 2017. It is noteworthy that the CR-V, a very popular model in China, also suffered a great delivery slump of 54.7% year on year to 19,669 units in February.
When it comes to Dongfeng Honda, among its nine models, only two models saw YoY delivery growth in February, namely the Honda Elysion and Jade. Especially, delivery volume of the Jade reached 1,788 units, skyrocketing 698.2% compared with the same period last year.
