Jingdong introduces 1000 new energy vehicles for Double 11

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- As China largest online shopping day, Double 11 (Singles’ Day) easily causes traffic jam, but new energy cars with no limit will speed up urban logistics. On October 31, Jingdong Logistics announced to introduce thousands of new energy vehicles and put into use in more than 10 large and medium-sized cities like Beijing, Shanghai and others, and in the next 5 years, Jingdong Logistics will replace thousands of cars with new energy vehicles. Experts believe that the fuel trucks are limited in many cities, resulting in low efficiency of logistics. With the city to relax the control of new energy cars in road travel, new energy vehicles can achieve 24 hours travel, which will improve the efficiency of logistics distribution.
In fact, Jingdong not only introduces new energy cars, but also extends the industrial cooperation chain in new energy transportation. It is understood that the Jingdong will have cooperation with charging service operations and vehicle logistics companies. Wang Hui, the vice president of Jingdong Distribution Department said that in charging services field, Jingdong logistics and charging pile enterprises will jointly develop the construction of electric charging piles.
An official said that with more and more new energy vehicles on the road, new energy vehicles can realize 24 hours of travel in many cities. The layout of new energy vehicles enterprises can further improve the efficiency of logistics.
It is worth noting that the road limit on trucks also let the logistics companies set up many courier shops in the city, which is a huge cost for enterprises. The official said, due to the trucks only can distribute in limited time, enterprises must set up many courier shops in the city and the trucks transport the goods to courier shop at night. In the daytime the courier shops deliver the goods to consumers, so that a large number of courier shops are a huge cost for the delivery enterprises and franchisee. But with the liberalization of city policy in the future, new energy vehicles can achieve 24 hours of travel, which will reduce the establishment of express shops and the cost of enterprises.

Hongqi strides into private car market

Shanghai (Gasgoo)-The all-new Hongqi D-class sedan coded N501 was spied undisguised for the first time recently. As a D-class sedan under Hongqi L series, the new model is positioned below the Hongqi L5, and is likely to be named the Hongqi L3.
In terms of the exterior, the new model retains Hongqi's iconic design language, featuring an intake grille with a straight waterfall shape, decent and elegant-looking oblong and round headlamps, and eye-catching standing emblem on its engine hood. It looks decent with its waist lines stretched from headlamps to rear end. It deploys hollow-square-shaped LED taillights, boasting a high recognition for Hongqi's family. Moreover, the new model employs one exhaust pipe on each side and a 4.0T V8 turbocharged engine.
On Oct. 28, FAW-Hongqi released an advertisement on their official WeChat account to recruit dealers in 308 cities like Beijing, Shanghai and Guangdong, aiming to expand its dealership network across China. In fact, early in this April, Hongqi held a signing ceremony for its first batch of 4S stores in Shanghai. During the ten-day recruitment, Hongqi received 48 applications from a variety of investors nationwide. After a strict selection, 21 dealers with rich operating experience of luxury vehicle brands were chosen to sell Hongqi models in 18 provinces, cities and municipalities across China.
According to Hongqi's 4S store recruitment plan, there are 7 levels for 4S stores ranging from A to C3. The 4S store with highest level needs to cover an area of 5,000 square meters and an investment of RMB 21.5 million, which meet the standard of a luxury vehicle brand. The 4S with lowest level still needs to cover an area of 1,200 square meters and a total investment of RMB 4.8 million.
On one hand, Hongqi is expanding its dealership network to absorb private consumers, and on the other hand, the position and design of its SUVs, EVs and connected cars began to face the private cart market. Hongqi is sparing no effort to enhance its brand awareness in the market, and is ambitious to set the first high-end independent vehicle brand in China.
